A Balanced You – POSTPONED

Due to an unforeseen conflict, this event will be postponed to a later date. Check back soon for more information!

The Family Center for Autism is pleased to introduce a new workshop for our member parents. We have partnered with Balance Botanicals to bring you this program, focused on you, your needs, and how to create “A Balanced You.”

POSTPONED – New date to be announced

7:00-9:00 p.m.
The Family Center for Autism
1517 Franklin Avenue, Garden City

Over the course of the workshop, you will learn:

  • Simple yoga stretching practices as well as some breathing and meditation techniques to help you get the most out of the mind/body connection with Barrie Overend,
  • Communication tools which uncover confidence and clarity to minimize conflict with Jeanne M. Stafford,
  • Essential oil choices to impact positive mood, productivity and relaxation with Theresa DeMarco,

“When my middle son, Sean, was diagnosed with ASD at four years old, I became a little less confident in the world around me. Now, at nineteen and having recently walked at his graduation to receive his Career and Employment Credential, I am able to look back and marvel at the ups and downs that marked this journey. I have come to personally understand the feelings of insecurity and exhaustion that are present and that result in emotional and physical burnout. And so, I wanted to find a way to serve and support other special needs moms on this same journey in embracing the importance of self-care. The result is A Balanced You!”– Program creator Theresa DeMarco

Call 516.355.9400 to register. Space is limited!

Join us and let us show you how to have “A Balanced You!”
