Debra Franceschini Golf Classic

The annual Debra Franceschini Golf Classic was held on Monday, August 6th at the Hempstead Country Club.  The proceeds from this year’s outing benefit the Life’s WORC Family Center for Autism.  This annual event was created by Robert Franceschini to honor his late wife who passed away from colon cancer over ten years ago.  Robert and his two sons, Robert Jr. and James own Piccolo’s, a well-known  and popular restaurant in Mineola. Wanting to honor Debra and to keep her memory alive, Robert created the outing to help others in need.  In the past, proceeds from the event benefited Winthrop University Hospital.  This is the first year that Robert selected another  local charity as beneficiary of the proceeds from the outing.  Everyone at Life’s WORC is very grateful to Robert and his family for their generous support of the Family Center for Autism.
