Girl Power Classes at the FCA
Our Girl Power Classes give young ladies an opportunity to make friends with other females their age while participating in fun and engaging activities. With around 80% of those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders being male, being a female on the spectrum can sometimes feel isolating. We hope our Girl Power Classes will allow children, teens, and adults the opportunity to build their social circle while having a great time! Girl Power Classes include:
This class is designed for young ladies who are interested in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM). Participants will complete STEAM-related projects each week that will further their understanding of the topics while also peaking their interest in these fun and exciting areas of study. In addition the participants will strengthen their social skills and make personal connections with their classmates.

Ballet & Tap
This class is designed for young ladies who want to learn the basics of ballet and tap while having a great time and making new friends! Participants will have a great time moving and dancing while strengthening their fine and gross motor skills, developing coordination, and strengthening their social skills.

Super Girls & Super Women
This class will help all of its participants unleash their inner Super Hero! The participants will discuss topics that are important to them and will help them strengthen their social skills and be more prepared for social situations. In addition the participants will also complete a variety of projects that will give them experience in community service and the importance of helping others.
Super Girls for Teens – Saturday 12:00 – 1:00 pm
Super Women for Adults – Saturday 1:00 – 2:00 pm
This class is designed for ladies who want to learn the motions of hip-hop dancing while having a great time and making new friends! Participants will learn some new moves to pair with their favorite songs all while strengthening their fine and gross motor skills, developing coordination, and strengthening their social skills. This is a Girl Power class and is only open to young ladies.

Jewelry Making for Teens and Adults
This entry-level class is designed for all the future jewelry designers in the world! Participants will learn common jewelry making techniques and create bracelets, necklaces, hair clips, and more! In addition to working on fine motor and social skills, participants will also have the chance to work together and build their interpersonal while making friends! This is a Girl Power class and is only open to young ladies.

Glamour Girls for Teens and Adults
This class is for our glamorous friends that love makeup, fashion, and pop culture! The participants of this class will have fun with makeup, fashion-related crafts, and discussing the most up-to-date trends. Participants will also work on social and conversational skills while having a great time! This is a Girl Power class and is only open to females.
