Music for Autism Event Success!

The Family Center for Autism and Music for Autism joined forces to host a wonderful event on Sunday, September 25, featuring the music of New York-based chamber ensemble Altius Winds.

The concert welcomed approximately 60 attendees, including many families that are loyal fans and followers of Music for Autism and have attended some of Altius Winds’ performances at other venues throughout the New York area. The concert was performed in three segments – Concert time, Conducting time and Percussion Time.  Each segment allowed the families to be a part of the concert while listening, dancing or just having fun with their own instruments.

Volunteers from the Family Center for Autism included, Tina Moreno, Joanna Diamond, Kristen Schreck, Dana Desena, Perri Silverstein and Melanie Friedman.  Music for Autism concerts are fully subsided and free for individuals with autism and their family members.  Sunday’s concert was generously underwritten by Peter Klein, Life’s WORC Board member and President of the Claire Freidlander Family Foundation.
