Then One Day… Nassau County Made a Difference

We are proud to announce that in recognition of Autism Awareness month, a tree was planted on the front lawn of the Theodore Roosevelt Executive & Legislative Building to represent the ongoing collaboration between the Life’s WORC Family Center for Autism and the Nassau County Executive Office. We applaud Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano for his continued support of the programs and services available to people with autism in Nassau County. He is acknowledged for leading the way in our communities, championing the needs of individuals on the autism spectrum and their families, and his collaboration with Life’s WORC Family Center for Autism in Garden City.

The planting ceremony, held on Thursday, April 27, recognized the Nassau County Executive Office for its support and featured staff and program participants from The Family Center for Autism in a truly collaborative event.  The special occasion was celebrated with refreshments following the tree planting at the Center.

Special thanks to Hicks Nurseries for their generous donation of the tree.
