Then One Day… Sorority Sisters Support Autism Awareness

This spring, a group of young woman made a difference, raising money and awareness for The Family Center for Autism.

Samantha Hecht, a member of the Sigma Delta Tau sorority at the University at Buffalo, along with her sorority sisters organized a Zumba fundraiser to benefit The Family Center for Autism, in conjunction with Alley Oop for Autism initiative.

The event, held on April 10 at Crunch Fitness in Amherst, New York, raised more than $1,100 to push the Alley Oop for Autism funds to a grand total of over $91,000. Samantha was inspired by the efforts of her aunt and uncle, Debbie and Joel Levine, in support of autism awareness and the FCA. With the assistance of sorority sister Emily Ackerman they recruited more than 50 people to Zumba the night away for a good cause.

Thank you Samantha and Emily and all of the young women of Sigma Delta Tau in Buffalo for your support!
